Description:
Horses Connect Training provides accredited Therapeutic Horse-Riding, Equine-Assisted Learning and Equine-Assisted Personal Development Coach Training for experienced horse people who want to develop safe, ethical and professionally recognised practice.
Our courses help learners build on their existing equine knowledge and develop the coaching skills, professional judgement and practical competence required to facilitate meaningful sessions alongside horses and people. Training is horse-centred, participant-led, non-interpretive, trauma-informed and grounded in clear professional boundaries.
Who are the courses for?
Our training is designed primarily for experienced horse people who want to qualify as Therapeutic Horse-Riding, Equine-Assisted Learning or Equine-Assisted Personal Development Coaches. Applicants may come from equestrian, education, coaching, healthcare, social care, youth work or community development backgrounds.
What will learners gain?
Learners develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to assess, plan, facilitate, evaluate and reflect on safe and purposeful sessions. Courses combine underpinning theory with practical experience, reflective practice and competency-based assessment.
Why is specialist training important?
Experience with horses is essential, but it is not enough on its own. Effective equine-assisted practice also requires coaching competence, safeguarding awareness, ethical decision-making, appropriate boundaries and a thorough understanding of both human and equine wellbeing.
Horses Connect Training is an accredited training provider with the CPD Standards Office, the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning and the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine. Our programmes draw on extensive experience in Therapeutic Horse-Riding and Equine-Assisted Learning and Personal Development, providing learners with practical, evidence-informed training that can be applied responsibly in professional settings.
