Our Experience and Expertise

Sixth Pilates was founded by experienced Pilates educators who have been teaching clients for over 10 years. Our educators are Classically and Contemporarily trained Pilates teachers, with extensive training and a broad depth of knowledge across Pilates, anatomy, movement and teaching methodology.

Between us, we have completed extensive professional training with Polestar Pilates, James Shaw Classical Pilates, HFE (Health and Fitness Education) and JPilates. Our varied training backgrounds provide a broad and well-rounded approach to Pilates education, combining the principles and foundations of Classical Pilates with the understanding and adaptability of Contemporary Pilates.

We are passionate about teaching the foundations and principles of Pilates while giving our students a comprehensive understanding of both Classical and Contemporary approaches. We believe that becoming a Pilates teacher is about much more than learning a repertoire of exercises - it is about understanding the why behind the movement as well as the how.

Our aim is to create a supportive, engaging and informative learning environment where students can develop their knowledge, practical teaching skills and confidence. We want every student to leave Sixth Pilates feeling genuinely prepared to begin teaching, with a strong understanding of Pilates, anatomy, movement and safe and effective teaching practice.
