Description:
Children North East is a leading children’s charity that has been supporting babies, children, young people and families across the North East since 1891. Our mission is to ensure that all children and young people have the opportunity to grow up healthy and happy.
We provide a wide range of services including mental health and therapeutic support, youth work, family and community services, domestic abuse support, training and development, and our nationally recognised Poverty Proofing® programme. We work alongside children, young people, families, schools, communities and professionals, ensuring their voices and experiences are at the heart of the support we provide.
With a strong children’s rights ethos, Children North East also works to influence policy and wider system change, helping to remove barriers and create lasting improvements for children, young people and families across the region and beyond.
