The National Association of Disability Practitioners is the professional association for those people working with disabled students in the post-compulsory education sector. We were founded in 1999 to provide support and training to our members who work independently, or in colleges or universities in disability support and inclusive practice.
NADP works towards raising the professional status of disability services staff via:
- Setting out codes of practice and ethics
- Encouraging formal Continuing Professional Development
- Peer support
- An accreditation scheme
- Holding conferences and educational events
- The dissemination of good practice
The majority of our events are open to members and non-members.

Who Should Attend:
This full-day training event with lunch provided is suitable for all academic and professional staff working with students on the Autistic Spectrum. In addition, the DfE have accepted this course as part of the registration process for both Specialist one-to-one Study Skills and Strategy Support – Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Specialist Mentor – Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) Our vision is that this conference will inspire and enable people to work together to support each other to enhance our university communities. We aim to bring together the people who deliver action on the ground – from University Academics, Disability Support Professionals, Individual Support Personnel and Assessment Centres – to share knowledge, ideas and experience.
