Description:
Childosophy is an education and training provider devoted to children's wellbeing, founded on a simple idea: that a child's behaviour is a form of communication rather than a problem to be fixed.
At its heart is the Foundational Needs Model (FNM), a framework developed by Dr Maxine Thérèse that draws together developmental science, philosophy, and older wisdom traditions to help adults understand what sits beneath the surface of a child's behaviour. Rather than offering quick techniques, Childosophy invites parents, carers, educators, and professionals to slow down, notice, and respond to the needs a child cannot yet put into words.
Our training is grounded in lived experience as much as research. Dr Maxine Thérèse teaches and writes as both a mother and a researcher, and that dual perspective shapes everything Childosophy offers, from short courses to longer professional programs.
Participants come away with a calmer, more considered way of being with children, along with practical understanding they can apply in homes, classrooms, and clinical settings. The aim is not to hand people a script, but to help them trust their own judgement, supported by a clear and humane framework.
Childosophy's accredited training suits anyone who works with or cares for children and wants to understand them more deeply.
