Description:

The European Petrophysics Consortium (EPC) involves the University of Leicester (UK) and the University of Montpellier (France). The EPC undertakes petrophysics research and combines borehole geophysics, laboratory experiments and geology. The EPC central office is located at the University of Leicester and is responsible for the management of the consortium. Leicester represents the EPC within ECORD (European Consortium for Ocean Research Drilling) and IODP3 (International Ocean Drilling Programme).

Who Should Attend:

Applicants from all career stages and geoscience backgrounds. The course is tailored for individuals who:

  1. Are early in their career and/or would like to introduce and make use of more physical properties data in their research; and/or
  2. Would like to get more involved in IODP3 in some capacity, either through accessing and using data or sailing on an IODP3 research expedition.
