Description:
We offer online, hybrid and face to face training on all aspects of economic crime risk and compliance.
Our CPD accredited training is primarily aimed at organisations that are regulated in the UK for the purposes of anti money laundering including financial services, legal services and gambling sector. They would be equally applicable to any organisation that is required to assess or understand complex financial arrangements as part of due diligence or regulatory requirements.
It is increasingly important for organisations to undertake effective due diligence on both customers and supply chain partners. An important aspect of this can often be the need to confirm the source of funds or source of wealth for particular transactions or business relationships. This can be important from anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, fraud prevention, counter terror financing and compliance with global sanctions regimes. It can also help understand affordability whenever it is necessary to assess the level of resources available to a customer, e.g. when gambling online, applying for loans or applying for local authority or charity funding.
Our training is led by Neil Tyson. Neil has worked in a variety of industries across the private and public sectors, he’s worked for charities and for a number of multinational FTSE 100 companies. Importantly, his quite unique experience covers the ‘three lines of defence’ of:
- ONE – Operational Management - managing front-line teams, identifying risks and mitigating them in a live context to achieve operational excellence.
- TWO – Process and Policy Development - providing support and assurance to organisations developing processes, policies, systems and controls.
- THREE – Independent Assurance - providing independent audits and assurance over the effectiveness of controls.
This puts us in a unique position when delivering training to clients.
