My Family Matters Foundation Ltd was established in January 2024 with a clear mission: to place the safeguarding and wellbeing of children at the heart of all we do. Our primary aim is to raise awareness and provide education to professionals about the impact of domestic abuse, coercive control, and alienating behaviours, particularly how these issues adversely affect children and families.

Separation and family breakdown often give rise to complex, harmful dynamics that can lead to mental health difficulties, conflict, and legal intervention. In these situations, children can become caught in the middle, with their emotional and psychological wellbeing compromised by the actions and behaviours of one or both parents.

Our accredited online and in-person training has been developed specifically to equip professionals, but also parents, with the knowledge and practical tools needed to recognise and respond to these issues early.

These courses provide immediate insight into the dynamics of domestic abuse, coercive control, alienating behaviours and the impact on children. While also guiding professionals on how to ask the right questions, adapt their assessments, and explore the potential presence of alienating behaviours within families.

Participants will gain access to evidence-informed resources and join a learning community of like-minded professionals who are committed to improving outcomes for children. Our training supports many in identifying the early warning signs of risk and in taking informed, child-centred action to protect children from harm associated with domestic abuse, coercive control and alienating behaviours.
