Description:

The Recovery Republic, founded in 2012 and awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2017, is a not for profit, wellbeing organisation, attended by adults drawn from the local population and wider area, self-referred or referred from Statutory Services.

Its aim is for young people and adults who attend, particularly those who are in early or established recovery, gain the knowledge over time and through mutual support, become the person they know they can be.  Such activity is not time-limited; recovery takes years rather than weeks or a few months.

The Education, Research & Development arm includes academic clinicians, researching, developing and running accredited and co-produced education programs for our members and for those working in Primary Care and the Community.
