Description:
Survival Fitness Education specialises in children's calisthenics coaching education, providing practical, structured training for aspiring and experienced fitness coaches, personal trainers, PE teachers, sports instructors and professionals working with children aged 5–14.
Our Level 1 Children's Calisthenics Coach course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to deliver safe, engaging and age-appropriate calisthenics sessions for children. Combining theoretical learning with hands-on coaching experience, the course covers safeguarding, child development, warm-up and mobility techniques, bodyweight strength exercises, skill progressions and regressions, effective communication, session planning and practical coaching assessments.
Why is specialist children's calisthenics coaching education important?
Coaching children requires a different approach to coaching adults. Young people have varying physical abilities, developmental needs and learning styles. Our training helps coaches understand how to adapt exercises, communicate effectively, maintain safe training environments and support children as they develop strength, coordination, balance, mobility and confidence.
Who is the course suitable for?
Our training is suitable for individuals looking to begin a career in children's fitness coaching, existing personal trainers wishing to expand their expertise, PE teachers, sports coaches, youth workers and fitness professionals seeking to develop their knowledge of children's bodyweight training.
What makes Survival Fitness Education different?
Our education is developed from real-world coaching experience rather than theory alone. Founded by Dina Al-Samawi, Survival Fitness has been delivering specialist children's calisthenics and functional fitness programmes in Leicester since 2022, working with over 350 children across structured weekly sessions.
This practical experience forms the foundation of our educational approach, ensuring learners develop coaching skills that can be applied in real training environments.
Our Level 1 course includes nine structured learning modules, a comprehensive Learner Manual, practical demonstrations, supervised coaching activities and formal written and practical assessments.
Survival Fitness Education is committed to raising standards in children's calisthenics coaching through accessible, high-quality professional development, helping coaches create positive, safe and effective fitness experiences for the next generation.
