Description:

The ManKind Initiative was the first charity in Great Britain to support male victims of domestic abuse (registered in 2001). For over 20 years, we have been at the forefront of providing services and support for male victims and campaigning to ensure that male victims receive the support they need from other organisations.

Our aim is to ensure all male victims of domestic abuse (and their children) are supported to enable them to escape from the situation they are in. We provide a range of services directly to men, such as an anonymous national helpline and a national directory of services.

Importantly we also provide a range of professional advice to domestic abuse practitioners, the police, councils, charities, employers and the health service. This includes training, presentations, a national conference, reviews of policies and also how to run communication campaigns. All have been created and are delivered by qualified domestic abuse professionals.

Accredited Activities:

  • Training: Supporting Male Victims of Domestic Abuse (F2F & Online)
  • National Conference on Male Victims of Domestic Abuse – Surviving Domestic Abuse: Experiences Services & Solutions (F2F & Online)
  • Conference on Male Victims of Domestic Abuse “Supporting Male Victims of Domestic Abuse”

Who Should Attend:
