Description:

Offering specialist high-quality training to Counselling and Psychotherapy Practitioners. Courses are developed to include significant changes relevant to current practice with the aim of meeting the varied needs of individual practitioners and learners.  Achieving training to become a clinical supervisor can be one of the natural progression steps for counsellors/psychotherapists who wish to further develop professionally.

The Therapy Quarters offers Counselling, Trauma Psychotherapy, Supervision and Training. Karen Harrison, the clinical director is an accredited registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, and has been a registered psychotherapist for over 25 years. Karen shares her experience, creative techniques and skills with course members creating a fun environment to learn in. The Therapy Quarters support clients from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds. The clinic also works with emergency blue light professionals, veterans and clients suffering from Trauma and we help people suffering from mental ill health, experiencing anxiety, depression, panic and other issues.


Accredited Activities:

  • Counselling and Psychotherapy Supervision
  • Step by Step EMDR Enhanced Introduction Course


Who Should Attend:

  • Attendee’s will need to have completed their training in Counselling and/or Psychotherapy up to level 4 ( or equivalent) as well as gaining 450 clinical practice hours in total since they commenced training.
  • To qualify, the course will require attendees to be supervising at least 2 supervisee’s.
  • Attendee’s will need to have in place their own supervision for their supervision practice in addition to their usual supervision for minimum of one hour a month. This needs to be with a supervision consultant who is a registered member of the BACP or an equivalent professional membership body and has completed supervision training.
