The Royal Astronomical Society (RAS), founded in 1820, encourages and promotes the study of astronomy, solar-system science, geophysics and closely related branches of science.

Its more than 4,000 members (Fellows), a quarter based overseas, consists of primarily professional astronomers and geophysicists, with a significant number of students, advanced amateur astronomers, as well as historians of astronomy and geophysics, and others with an interest in the geo- and astro-sciences.

 

The RAS Education and Outreach team can provide support for CPD, but do not specify certain hours/give advice on their website.
