Royal Society of Statisticians (RSS)

Founded in 1834, RSS is one of the world’s leading organisations advocating for the importance of statistics and data. They are a professional body for all statisticians and data analysts – wherever they may live.

They have more than 10,000 members in the UK and across the world. As a charity, they advocate for the key role of statistics and data in society and work to ensure that policy formulation and decision-making are informed by evidence for the public good.

 

CPD is compulsory for professional members (holders of CStat status or equivalent MIS or FIS). Chartered and Graduate Statistician are required to undertake a minimum of 60 hours is required per year for a minimum of 2 years. Data Analysts are required to complete a minimum of 30 hours is required within 1 year.
