UK Cyber Security Council

The UK Cyber Security Council is the newest of the four organisations. It was created with support from the UK Government to become the professional body for the cyber security profession and to bring cyber security into line with established professions such as engineering, law and accountancy.
The Council:
- Defines professional standards
- Maintains professional registers
- Oversees ethics and competence frameworks
- Awards professional titles
- Supports career pathways for cyber professionals
CPD Policy
To maintain professional registration, registrants must complete:
- 25 hours CPD per year
- 75 hours over a rolling three-year period
- Maintain CPD records
- Demonstrate ongoing competence and professional development
