Description:

Lancashire LGBT is a registered charity offering training on trans/gender identity awareness for professionals. The trainer has extensive knowledge and experience in this area. He has worked with the trans community for over 24 years and delivered trans awareness training for over 14 years to the Health, Education and Criminal Justice sectors at every level. He was a member of the UK Government LGBT Advisory Panel from 2019-2021. He worked with Press for Change – the experts in trans equality and human rights law, for 6 years, conducting research on trans people for the Cabinet Office and writing Guidance for the Equality and Human Rights Commission and the Department of Health. He has a PhD in Women and Gender Studies (Lancaster University 2004), which focused on trans women and trans feminine identities.
